from the forest (Betulaceae)
2021
For the Betulaceae group from the same series, the work was adapted for an urban exhibition context. At the project space ITO in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt, the birch family was used as the botanical focus.
Here, too, the specimens were arranged according to botanical criteria and presented in a reduced, almost clinical aesthetic.
In contrast to the remote Black Forest setting, the installation in the city space opens up a dialogue between natural forms and architectural surroundings, highlighting the subtle presence of native tree species within the dense urban fabric.
